realme GT 3 was recently announced with the fastest fast loading in the Android universe. The 240W technology draws the attention of any user and promises to deliver 100% battery in less than 10 minutes using the plug.
But realme GT 3 goes way beyond that. The smartphone also has Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, 50 MP main camera and screen with 144 Hz refresh rate.
That is, a set worthy of a top-of-the-line device, but is it really all that? That’s what we’re going to answer in this hands-on held in partnership with HdBlog.
Scroll down and find out more!
Starting with the design, realme got it right by launching the GT 3 with this look. That’s because we have a smartphone here that manages to differentiate itself from its numerous Chinese competitors.
But it is clear that the main point of realme GT 3 is, without a doubt, its transparent area next to the camera module at the rear. Inside it, you will find RGB LED and also a representation of the chipset.
I say representation because the Snapdragon processor is very well hidden inside the smartphone’s body and probably covered by a vapor chamber. That is, the rear chip is merely illustrative.
Now, about the RGB LED it works very well and is highly customizable in the device settings. You can choose a color for notifications, another for incoming or even missed calls.
The generous dimensions of the GT 3 end up making the task of holding the device with one hand a little difficult, since it weighs 199 grams. In the construction part, as much as it looks premium, everything indicates that the realme GT 3 is made of plastic.
It is clear that it is a good quality material. Including, the matte rear can even fool the most unsuspecting. Of course, this finish was designed to cut costs and here it worked quite well.
The realme GT 3 is also a dual-SIM smartphone, it has a USB-C port, stereo sound and a fingerprint reader under the display, which works very well.
Finally, and not least, we have in the box the traditional manuals, connection cable, SIM drawer key and also the 240W charger, which we will talk about later.
With a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen, FHD + resolution and 144 Hz rate, the realme GT 3 has a great display. However, it must be said that the refresh rate here is not LTPO adaptive.
The smartphone can vary between 60, 90, 120 and 144 Hz, but does not go down to 1 Hz, for example. As for the brightness of the panel, it can reach 1,400 nits and this makes the GT 3 manage to do very well in outdoor use.
The realme GT 3 has two good quality speakers. The sound is loud, clear and manages to deliver good results within what is possible to do on a smartphone.
Moving on to the processing power of the realme GT 3, we have the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 on this smartphone. The version used in this hands-on has 16 GB of RAM and this can be expanded to up to 20 GB of RAM using the borrow feature cell phone memory.
In short, with realme GT 3 you will be able to open several applications, play any game on the Play Store and do any heavy activity very easily and without any hiccups.
The smartphone’s cooling system is also efficient and this ensures that it will remain relatively cool in times of intense use. In terms of connections, we have Wi-Fi in dual band, NFC 360 degrees, Bluetooth 5.3, in addition to the native 5G connection.
The 4,600 mAh battery manages to deliver a full day of use without too many problems. But of course, if the battery runs out, the user will have a surprising fast charging technology here. In practice, the 240W ensure that the GT 3 leaves zero and reaches 100% battery in less than 10 minutes.

The realme GT 3 was announced with Android 13 and here it runs under the realme UI 4.0 interface, which is almost a ColorOS under another name.
On a daily basis, the user should come across a stable system, which has good animations, few unnecessary adjustments and a good level of customization.
The only problem here is the sheer amount of bloatware. Honestly, I hope realme will listen to feedback from Western consumers and fix this in the near future.
The main sensor of realme GT 3 has 50 MP and is the Sony IMX890. In general terms, it delivers good photos in different situations, such as sunny, cloudy, indoor and outdoor environments.
We have good contrast control, bright colors and good light management, even in more challenging environments like night shots.
Optical stabilization also works very well here and this ends up helping with night photos, which even manage to stay within a high standard when using night mode.
The ultrawide sensor doesn’t stand out in any analyzed aspect. As we only have 8 MP on this sensor, the images lose detail and you can easily see this when zooming in on a photo.
Still, the color management is good and within the category’s standard, but you can’t expect much from the night photos taken with this sensor, since the details disappear and there’s a lot of noise.
The third sensor has 2 MP and is for macro photos. However, it must be said that the focus is very short and this will make you practically need to touch the smartphone to the object to take pictures of it.
On the other hand, the front camera is 16 MP and it is capable of delivering good records in the most diverse environments, including night selfies here.
Finally, the realme GT 3 can record videos in 4K resolution at 60 frames in the main camera, while the ultrawide makes videos in 1080p at 30 frames.
For now, the realme GT 3 has not yet been released in Europe and does not have an expected arrival here in Europe. Thus, we still do not have the official prices of the device.
In any case, it is clear that we are facing a truly top-of-the-line smartphone. It has an attractive design and the RGB LED makes things more fun.
In addition, the use of a latest generation processor is also a more than positive point. That’s because you’re going to get the best of the Android universe here.
The main camera, on the other hand, manages to be efficient and deliver good results, even in challenging environments. Of course, the other lenses can be a little daunting, but as we know, most photos are taken with the main camera.
That is, deep down, deep down this 50 MP sensor saves the day. Finally, the ultra-fast charging is amazing. Realme got this technology right, as it completely changes the concept of fast charging.
As negative points I need to highlight the lack of IP certification for protection against water, the weak ultrawide camera when compared to the main sensor and the price it can get around here.
This is because everything indicates that the realme GT 3 should cost around 649 dollars, that is, something around R$ 3,400 in direct conversion and without taxes.
However, it is certain that, if launched in Europe, this value could almost double. As always, everything is much more expensive around here.
Therefore, I believe that realme can leave Europe off the list of countries where realme GT 3 will be sold. Of course the brand can surprise us, but I still believe not.
In any case, anyone who wants to import via the gray market will certainly receive a top-of-the-line smartphone at home that is worth it and fights on an equal footing with many competitors.
