realme prepares to make its debut in foldable smartphone market. The confirmation comes directly from the company’s VP Madhav Sheth, who took to Twitter leads his followers with the question “What do you want coming up? realme Flip or realme Fold?“.

After all, you know 2023 will truly be the year of the consecration of foldable smartphones: 37 models are estimated by December, 18 more than in 2022 and which will involve 7 brands. One of these, therefore, could be realme. It is not clear at the moment whether the company really intends to collect some feedback from users to direct its choice between a solution with a book opening and another with a clamshell, or if it is rather a more generic question to test the pulse on interest in foldable smartphones.

Whether you actually opt for a fold or a flip, you’ll be facing well-equipped competition. Samsung dominates the entire sector unchallenged, the latest models Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are the most successful models on the market in this specific segment. 2023 opened with the arrival in Europe of Oppo Find N2 Flip, and will continue with a new model of Moto RAZR and the debut of the awaited Pixel Fold (just seen in a first live image) and the first OnePlus specimen.
