Beta version of WhatsApp message reactions

WhatsApp is constantly being updated to offer a better service to its large community of users. An example of this is that, for a few days, voice notes can be heard in the background. Despite this, the application continues to receive interesting improvements, since now WhatsApp message reactions will be part of the app in a few weeks.

Based on the leak, people will be able to choose between six different types of reactions. This feature has only been enabled in its beta phase for a handful of individuals.

The same company has been in charge of sending the new function to some Android beta users. Specifically, it is about the app version 2.22.8.3. People will be able to choose the reaction that fits the context, such as “I like it”, “I love it”, “Laugh”, “Surprised”, “Sad” and “Thank you”. In the next few hours the launch will remain limited to test it correctly.

Yet there is no official release date of message reactions on WhatsApp, similar to those on other platforms like Facebook, but should be enabled in the coming weeks. It is also not known if the new feature will be limited to group chats, individual chats or if it will be operational in any type of scenario. With reference to Telegram and Slack, it is very likely that reactions can be used without restrictions.

Finally, this is excellent news for all those who use WhatsApp. The application has been improving remarkably in recent months to be more productive and catch up with the competition. It has been reported that the beta version of reactions is very stable because it is a simple implementation, it does not require complicated processing or anything like that. It only remains to wait to receive the update officially in the Android and Apple app stores.
