Launched in September 2022, the POCO M5 was updated to Android 13, under the custom interface MIUI 14. The update has been made available in Indonesia, after arriving in Europe in recent days.

According to the information, the new firmware changes the compilation version to V14.0.1.0.TLUIDXM, in the Asian country, or V14.0.1.0.TLUEUXM, in the “Old Continent” variant. The download size reaches 3.4 GB.

Among the novelties of MIUI 14 on POCO M5 is the use of less memory in general, which makes the interface faster and more responsive than the predecessor version. In addition, there are improvements in the system architecture in order to extend the performance of the device.

The arrival of Android 13 still brings a revamped home screen, more icons, large folders, new wallpapers and a more advanced search in Settings. To top it off, the installation comes with the March 2023 security patch.

POCO M5 comes out of the box with Android 12 and MIUI 13. Its highlights are its IPS LCD screen with a rate of 90 Hz, the presence of a Helio G99 platform, up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, as well as as a triple set of cameras, led by a 50 MP main sensor.

If you have a cell phone unit and have not received the notification for the update, you can manually check the settings whether your unit can already be graced with the upgrade.
