Pinterest launched its Stories last February in Spain, the so-called Idea Pins, but only in beta, with a small number of creators -mainly, the media- who were the ones who could use this new content format.
The Idea Pins are now available for all Pinterest business accounts in Spain
Now it opens it for all creators who have a business account on Pinterest, after making them available a few weeks ago in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
This format that now comes to Spain for all creators with a business account is similar to Instagram Stories, but also includes elements from TikTok or from Instagram’s own Reels.
These are short videos, up to 60 seconds long, which are fragmented like Stories and support up to 20 scenes per Pin. After recording the video, users can use the different editing tools that Idea Pins incorporate, which allow adding transactions between scenes and other elements, such as stickers or labels to attract the attention of other users.
Pinterest also has a library of royalty-free music thanks to Epidemic Sound. You can create drafts and continue later, as well as add topic tags, up to 10 per content. In addition, Idea Pins can be exported to include them embedded in other web pages and social networks and will include rich content for the instructions or ingredients pages, depending on the content that is published.
All Pinterest users in Spain already see, at the beginning of their home feed, the Idea Pins of the creators they follow. Plus, they can see new content from creators in more places, including search results, the Today tab, and the top of creator profiles. Idea Pins are displayed in this special full-screen view, designed to engage and inspire users.
