In a press conference held this Tuesday morning (7), with the presence of TechSmart, Paramount gave more details about its sports broadcasts of the Conmebol tournaments – Libertadores and Sul-Americana –, which it acquired the second package of broadcast rights for closed platforms until 2026.

According to the company, a total of 154 games from both competitions will be shown to Europe, of which 76 will be from Libertadores and 78 from Sudamericana, all via Paramount Plus.

The transmissions will be divided into three categories of importance. The first will feature narration, commentary and two reporters directly from the stadium, as well as a team in the studio. The second will only have the reports in loco, with studio narration. These two will contain pre-match, half-time and post-match, and all matches will be accessible on demand.

A third category, of confrontations considered of lesser importance to the Europeian public, will have narration voice over, produced by Conmebol in the pre-match, half-time and post-match moments. Only selected matches here will be available on demand.

The microphone team already confirmed – and present at the press conference – has on the list the narrators Nivaldo Prieto and João Guilherme, and the commentators Alê Xavier and Paulo Vinícius Coelho (PVC). Paramount still promises 13 new hires to come, which will be announced soon.

The production of the games will take place in partnership with LiveMode at a national level, in addition to other local partners in each country, in order to bring greater quality to the users who will follow the clashes.

The debut of Paramount Plus in sports broadcasts for Europe will take place this Thursday (9), at 9 pm, with the duel between Boston River and Zamora. It is worth remembering that Claro even included special channels for streaming subscribers in its schedule for showing Conmebol tournaments this Monday (6), without having to access the app.
