After all the controversy at last year’s Oscar ceremony, everyone is eager to find out if anything will happen at this year’s awards.

While it does not happen, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released this week the list of nominees. As expected, names like Angela Basset, Everything in Everywhere at the Same Time, Inisherin’s Banshees and many others who were present at other awards are also strong contenders for the most important gold statuette in the film industry.

With the awards scheduled for March 12 at the traditional Dolby Theater in California, the event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, who was also a presenter in 2017.
