One of the brightest screens on a smartphone, at least in theory
OPPO has made a huge leap in terms of the maximum brightness of the screens in the Find 3. And by “the screens” I mean that it has not limited this improvement to the main panel, the internal one, but rather that the external screen has received the same benefit.
According to OPPO, both screens have a maximum dynamic brightness of 2800 nits. It is one of the brightest screens to date on the market, although the use of the word “dynamic” suggests that the maximum brightness may be variable, or rather, it is possible that the panel is designed to withstand this extremely high maximum brightness only for a period of time at a time. If we can access the mobile to analyze it, it is something that we will put to the test.
OPPO already had the brighter screen on a samrtphone on the Find X6 Proand there are rumors that mention that other manufacturers They are working on screens with a maximum brightness of 2800 nits, so it seems that in 2024 we will see the brightest screens to date in the world of mobile phones.
For the rest, the internal screen has a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz, while the refresh rate of the external screen varies between 10 and 120 Hz. These variations, of course, are designed for better management of resources (if you don’t need 120Hz all the time, why waste resources and energy?). It is also worth noting that the frames of the screens are minimal, since the relationship between the panel occupies 91.8% of the front space on the external screen, and the 89.6% on internal screen.
The power we expect in a 2023 flagship
Under the hood, the Find N3 has the components we expect to see in a high-end smartphone in 2023: a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (with Adreno 740 GPU), models with 12 and 16 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of storage. All this, in practice, should translate into enough power to get the most out of this screen, including multitasking on a huge panel and everything that includes the ColorOS 13.2 custom layer, based on Android 13.
Regarding the main cameras, OPPO has once again had the collaboration of the renowned brand Hasselblad for the camera system and its color calibration technology. On the back it includes two 48 MP sensors, the main one and the wide angle one, along with a 64 MP telephoto sensor with a 3x zoom. Finally, the selfie cameras include 20 MP and 32 MP sensors, for the internal and external cameras, respectively, capable of recording video in 4K resolution and 30 fps.
OPPO Find N3: price and availability
OPPO’s new foldable is available first in China, with a price of ¥10,000 Chinese Yuan, which is equivalent to about 1,294 euros at the current exchange rate. We will update this information when OPPO announces details about the launch of the Find N3 in Spain and the rest of Europe.
