New cheap mobile phone from OPPO

The OPPO A18 is presented as one of OPPO’s cheapest mobile phones for this year, although the terminal has improved several specifications for this generation to go up a level. To begin with, it has a MediaTek Helio G85 instead of last year’s Helio G35. Also, with much more memory: 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage expandable via MicroSD.

Visually, the front has not changed much compared to last year, although now the 6.56-inch LCD panel, which still has HD+ resolution, increases the refresh rate up to 90 Hzwith a touch response frequency on par.

On this screen we find the front camera in a drop shaped notch, with a resolution of 5 MP and f/2.2 aperture. With a prolonged chin, as is normal in its range, the fingerprint reader goes to the power button.

Behind, the OPPO A18 repeats the design of the cameras mounted in a pill-shaped module, although this generation has significantly fewer megapixels than the previous one: it is a 8 + 2 megapixel dual camera (the second, a monochrome camera for portraits), while the OPPO A17 had 50+2 MP cameras.

The OPPO A18 mounts a 5000 mAh battery whose charging capabilities are unknown and, now, with a USB-C connector. The terminal is certified with IP54 dust and splash resistance, has a minijack and is launched with ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
