OnePlus Ace 2/11R will be a purebred upper midrange: S8 + G1 and AMOLED 120 Hz

The successor to the OnePlus Ace, also known in some markets as the OnePlus 10R, is apparently in the works; it should be called simply OnePlus Ace 2, or 11R, and will once again be a smartphone with very attractive technical characteristics with reasonable prices. The leaker Yogesh Brar shared a well-fed series of details that allow us to already have a rather solid identikit:

OnePlus Ace 2 Specifications

  • 6.7″ Fluid AMOLED display, 1.5K resolution, 120Hz maximum refresh rate
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC
  • 8, 12 or 16GB of RAM
  • 128 or 256 GB of internal storage memory
  • Cameras:
    • Rear main: 50 MP, Sony IMX890 sensor
    • Rear ultra-wide angle: 8 MP
    • Rear Auxiliary (Macro? B/W? Depth?): 2 MP
    • Front: 16MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Max Charging Speed: 100W
  • OS: Color OS 13, based on Android 13

The choice to implement the top-of-the-range mobile platform immediately preceding the most recent one is interesting – as we have seen on several occasions, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is a particularly successful chip and represents a significant step forward compared to the “smooth” version of the beginning of the year, above all thanks to the transition from the Samsung foundry to the TSMC one.

For now, unfortunately, we don’t have any images, even if we expect something well cared for and elegant, without overdoing it, exactly like it was for Ace/10R (opening photo). Just for reference, let’s remember that the current model came out with prices around the €500 range – a little less for the less generous memory cuts, a little more for the abundant ones. Neither model has ever officially arrived in Italy; who knows if things will change with the new generation.
