Nothing confirms the Phone (2a)

The company has announced that it will inherit the most valued features of the Phone (2) while being considerably better than the Phone (1).

Nothing, the London-based consumer technology company that increasingly has a broader community of users in Spain, has confirmed the arrival of several products, the star being its next smartphone: the Nothing Phone (2a).

The company has explained that the Phone (2a) “has been designed with the aim of offering the best daily experience with a smartphone, focusing on the basic needs of the user, with all the experience and design of Nothing.” In this way, it makes it clear that it will be a mid-range model that will inherit “the most valued features of the Nothing Phone (2), while ensuring a clear improvement over the Phone (1) on all fronts.”

Rumors suggest that the Phone (2a), whose code name is Aerodactyl—a popular Pokémon—will be seen at the MWC in Barcelona, ​​which could be a clear order to googlewith the idea of ​​attacking their popular family smartphones that are also characterized by combining high performance, good design and an affordable price.

Although Nothing has not specified any technical features, leaks in recent weeks included a 120Hz OLED display, Mediatek’s Dimensity 7200 chip, an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, as well as a new rear design that also It would have the Glyph lighting interface.

Precisely, in addition to the name of the new device, the company has announced the launch of Glyph Developer Kit, which gives Android applications the ability to use the Glyph interface, which is included exclusively on Nothing smartphones.

On the other hand, the company has also explained that its CMF by Nothing brand – which already has a watch and the Buds Pro headphones – will have new additions with two devices: the CMF Buds and the CMF Neckband Pro, a mysterious device about which little is known. On the other hand, at a corporate level, Nothing has explained that in 2023, Nothing focused on increasing its resources in seven offices around the world, something that allowed it to successfully launch the second generation of two of its devices.

At the same time, it has announced the incorporation of Jillian Gerngross as new vice president of marketing. With 12 years of experience at Amazon Music, she will oversee the global marketing strategy, including launches of Nothing smartphones and new devices in the audio section, with the promise of “making this division even more fun.”
