Nokia’s budget range of mobile phones now has a new tenant: the Nokia 1.4. With Android Go under the hood, and a modest Snapdragon 215 to power the whole set, the phone is one of the cheapest from Nokia.
Little remains of what was once Nokia as the brand has evolved to Android smartphones after HMD Global bought it after the Microsoft journey. Even so, he maintains the fighting spirit and strategy to reach all market segments; as evidenced by the Nokia 1.4, a mobile with an attractive design and modest features that is priced at the same modest level. Let’s see what he carries in his guts.

Basic hardware and with Android Go
The Nokia 1.4 is one of the most accessible mobiles of the manufacturer and falls within the line below 100 euros. Therefore, high-level features cannot be expected, also the software is limited: Nokia has chosen Android 10 Go Edition to power the phone. With the option to update to Android 11 Go, although no date.
In the performance section we find a basic Snapdragon 215 and a minimum configuration of 1/16 GB (with the option to upload up to 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage). Includes micro USB, 3.5mm jack, Nokia takes the opportunity to offer FM radio And the fingerprint reader is not missed as it appears on the back of the phone: it is a clear improvement over the previous model, the Nokia 1.3.
The photographic section sees the number of rear sensors doubled: the main 8 megapixel camera is joined by a 2 megapixel sensor with macro lens. At the front, the Nokia 1.4 offers a 5 megapixel camera inside a top cutout shaped like a drop of water.
It does not point to a bad autonomy since the phone offers 4,000 mAh battery; a capacity that, given how fair the hardware is, should hold enough for two comfortable days. In addition, the Nokia 1.4 includes a button dedicated to Google Assistant on the left side of the phone: one press and the wizard appears.
Price and availability of the Nokia 1.4
The phone is already available in some markets, although at the moment it does not appear to buy (at least not in Spain). This Nokia 1.4 will begin to be sold from 99 euros for the most basic model: 1/16 GB.
