Inside the box, the laptop is additionally protected by a foamed polyethylene casing, which secures the device and protects it from possible damage during transportation. Also in the box, you can find a separate package with accessories.
The delivery set includes:
- Ninkear N16 Pro Laptop;
- Type-C power supply with 65W GaN fast charging support;
- Wired mouse;
- Mouse pad;
- Storage and transportation bag;
- Quick Start Guide.
Appearance
The Ninkear N16 Pro notebook has a strict design with an aluminum alloy body, which provides strength and durability and good heat exchange. The top cover of the device is painted light gray with a matte texture, which helps to avoid fingerprints and gives the device a neat appearance. The cover has the Ninkear logo.
Opening the lid of the laptop, we see a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The thin screen bezels create a feeling of more space and make the device compact despite the large screen. The webcam is built into the upper frame of the display, equipped with infrared illumination and supports face recognition for secure access to the system.
Looking at the bottom panel, we see a full-size keyboard with two-level backlighting. The keyboard is made in a monolithic style and includes a numeric block. The keys have a pleasant stroke, and the power button is built into the upper right corner, which prevents accidental pressing. The touchpad is large, located below the keyboard and supports gestures, which simplifies navigation. The touchpad also has a fingerprint scanner built into it, providing additional security.
On one of the side edges of the lower part of the case there are interfaces: one universal USB-C with support for data transfer, video and audio output, as well as device charging, two USB 3.0 ports and a classic HDMI.
On the opposite side there is a 3.5 mm audio jack, a USB 2.0 port, an RJ-45 connector for wired Internet, and another USB-C, intended exclusively for charging.
The bottom panel of the laptop is also made of metal and has ventilation holes for effective cooling. The laptop supports operation even under high loads without overheating. The entire structure weighs about 1.8 kg and is 12 mm thick, which makes it convenient to carry and use in various conditions.
The internal design of the Ninkear N16 Pro laptop demonstrates good engineering of the internal space and the use of good components. Let’s start with the Wi-Fi module, which is the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200NGW. This module provides a high-speed wireless connection according to the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, which can provide high data transfer rates and a stable connection. The module also supports Bluetooth 5.0, which simplifies connecting peripherals.
Inside the Ninkear N16 Pro laptop is a 1 TB Derlar FP3 NVMe M.2 SSD. Derlar is not a well-known manufacturer, and the drive model uses a DRAM-less controller on the Realtek RTS 5766DL chip, which does not have the best effect on the speed of data access during intensive operations. At the same time, the drive is equipped with two memory chips, which allows it to work quite efficiently, although not at the level of solutions with DRAM caching. The SSD is connected via a PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 interface, which ensures high data transfer rates and fast loading of the operating system and applications. Additionally, there is another M.2 slot that supports PCIe interfaces, which allows you to install an additional SSD to expand the storage.
The laptop has DDR4 RAM running in dual-channel mode and labeled Kinsotin. The total capacity is 32 GB. Each strip has a capacity of 16 GB each and operates at a frequency of 2666 MHz in dual-channel mode. It is important to note that the Kinsotin brand has nothing to do with the well-known manufacturer Kingstone. The memory chips installed on these modules are manufactured by Samsung, which gives hope for stability and reliability, despite the lesser-known brand of the assembler. The frequency of 2666 MHz is quite sufficient for most tasks, but it is not the top by modern standards. Under intensive loads, such modules can demonstrate slightly lower performance, but for everyday use and most work scenarios they are quite suitable.
The laptop’s cooling system is a clever combination of two fans and heat pipes designed to efficiently dissipate heat from the main components. The fans are located on either side of the processor and graphics chip, ensuring a balanced distribution of airflow inside the case.
Heat pipes direct heat from the processor and other hot elements to radiators, which are then cooled by fans. This configuration is designed to maintain a stable temperature even during intensive computing tasks. It is important to note that the cooling system not only effectively copes with the task of heat dissipation, but also has a fairly low noise level, while it is important to understand that the density of the component layout and the limited space inside the case require regular maintenance.
The battery is a lithium-polymer (Li-Polymer) source, which takes up a significant part of the internal space of the device. The battery case indicates a capacity of 6350 mAh (or 57.75 W h), which allows you to count on a long time of autonomous operation.
Conclusion
As an office laptop, this model really lives up to expectations. Ninkear N16 Pro provides stable operation with office applications, browser and multimedia content, which makes it a good choice for everyday work and study. Power consumption is at an acceptable level, which allows you to work in autonomous mode for quite a long time.
However, when it comes to more demanding tasks, such as modern games, the laptop shows its limitations. Even at low graphics settings, the frame rate does not rise above 30 fps in games like Fortnite, which makes the gameplay noticeably jerky and uncomfortable. In simpler games, such as World of Tanks, it is able to deliver around 28-30 fps at maximum settings, but if you raise the resolution to the native one, the game already resembles a turn-based strategy.
Thus, this laptop can be recommended to those who are looking for a device for work and everyday use. But if you plan to actively play modern games, it is worth considering other models that can cope with such tasks more effectively.
