Dia has announced the launch of its new app for shopping in stores and online, which brings important changes in the design and management of the accumulated balance.
The experience of shopping at the supermarket has changed thanks to new technologies. Although some chain stores in Spain have resisted the migration to the Internet, today most have an app or a service to access various advantages.
One of the chains that first made the leap to our mobile phones is Dia, and now it has presented a renewal of your app which comes with some gifts under its arm, plus important changes to the way it works.
Like other supermarket apps, Dia’s allows us to consult the brochures, to always have access to the latest offers and promotions. But it also allows us make the purchase onlinewith access to products sold through our nearest store and with the option of free home delivery if our purchase exceeds a certain amount.
To all this, we must add the function that regular Dia consumers probably use the most, the access to Club Day and to the associated card. From the app, it is possible to show a QR code that fulfills the same function as the card and that can be scanned from the cashier to accumulate our purchases and use our coupons. We also have access to other advantages of Club Dia, such as collaborations with other companies such as savings with Endesa, Mapfre or GALP.
Precisely related to these promotions, one of the biggest novelties of the new Dia app is found in the new Wallet from which it is possible to access the breakdown of the accumulated balance. The new section brings together in one place all the balance that we have obtained in prizes, accumulation promotions, or other ways to get money back, instead of having to search for them in different parts of the app. From the main page of the app it is also possible to consult the coupons that we have obtained, to use them when delivering the card in our store.
Precisely, and on the occasion of this renewal of the app, Dia has announced a promotion that allows you to obtain a 5 euro free coupon just for starting to use the new app. Specifically, the promotion requires installing the Dia app for Android or iOS, and creating a new account. For Android phones, we can download the Dia app from Google Play, and on iPhone phones, from the App Store.
Although Dia specifies that only customers who register for the first time through the app will be able to obtain the coupon, in the tests carried out by EL ESPAÑOL – El Androide Libre we have been able to obtain the coupon even though we already had an account, just by installing the app on our mobile. The coupon can be used both in stores and when purchasing online, for a minimum purchase of 10 euros; In addition, it is not valid on butcher, delicatessen and fish products purchased by weight or cut. Yes, it can be combined with other discounts, so it is possible to use it with the promotion of 20 euros free for the first online purchase that some users have also received in their accounts.
