We continue with the rumors about the new devices that Apple wants to launch both this year and next. We are seeing rumors about new computers but also and above all about the Apple Watch. A new Apple Watch Ultra with a larger screen could see the light of day in 2024, but we don’t know if it will be with MicroLED. It is also expected, as a novelty, that they can be launched in 2024, the Apple Watch Series X and a new model of the S3.
Apple Watch Series X and S3. New models yet to be confirmed
Every year, we see how Apple launches a new model of Apple Watch on the market, just like they do with the iPhone or iPad. This past year they surprised with the launch of the Ultra model. A watch with a much larger screen than those conceived so far. that screen It has signs of being improved in the future. and in fact, rumors indicate that it is more than likely that next year it will grow and even MicroLED will be incorporated.
However, in that same report, it is also indicated that there are possibilities that the American company could launch a new concept of Apple Watch. It will be somewhere between the Ultra and the other models.
David Hsieh, analyst at the technology research firm Omdia, claims that the Series X model will have screen size options of 1.89 inches and 2.04 inches, which would be 5% to 10% larger than the Apple Watch Series 8 depending on case size. These measurements apply to the rectangular display panel, but since Apple Watch has rounded bezels, the actual viewable area is less.
The question is to know if that “X” refers to the name of the Apple Watch or if what we are seeing is an indefinite name. It could be like the iPhone X. It could also even be called that because next year the 10th anniversary of the arrival of the watch to the markets is celebrated. Be that as it may, it seems that we will be able to see a new model of Apple Watch.
As for the S3, Hsieh expect the device to have the same screen sizes as the Apple Watch Series 8. This means it would be available in 41mm and 45mm case sizes, compared to the current Apple Watch SE’s 40mm and 44mm.
