Motorola starts the release of Android 11 in its smartphones: it starts with the Moto G Pro

In December, Motorola had announced the official list of all its smartphones that in 2021 will receive the much desired update to Android 11. Well, finally the company seems to have started the gradual release starting not from a top-of-the-range device but, surprisingly, from the mid-range Moto G Pro.

Actually present in the list we have taken up in the past, according to a report by PiunikaWeb this mid-range would really be the first Motorola branded smartphone to receive the latest version of the operating system of the green robot: the rollout would have been started, in fact, in a limited number of models located in the UK.

Several users would have confirmed this, stating that in this case it will be a update weighing 1.13 GB and will also bring with it the January 2021 security patch to all Moto G Pro owners. Most likely this update will arrive in the next few weeks also in the rest of Europe and then in the rest of the world, so if you have this smartphone regularly check availability via Settings> System> Advanced> System Updates.

This, by the way, shouldn’t be the last big Android update for the Moto G Pro: given that the mid-range smartphone is part of the Android One program, we can also expect the future arrival of Android 12.

Staying on the subject of Motorola, the new Edge S model is finally a reality and is proposed on the market as the first in the world equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip at a particularly competitive price.
