The price of the iPhone 15 Pro line should increase. This is what the report by analyst Jeff Pu, from Haitong International Securities, an investment company based in Hong Kong, points out. According to him, the values should increase due to changes in hardware that have already been indicated by several industry insiders.
Among the possible justifications for the price increase are a new titanium frame with capacitive buttons, expanded RAM and the new Apple A17 Bionic. Not to mention a likely telephoto camera with up to 10x zoom and the new USB-C port instead of Lightning.
This is not the first time that a report indicates a price increase for the iPhone 15 Pro: in November 2022 DigiTimes already considered this possibility, which was reaffirmed by a Weibo informant and by LeaksApplePro, who even said that the iPhone 15 Ultra it may be the most expensive phone ever released by Apple priced at $1,299.
It remains unclear whether the price increase would also affect the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models, as Naver forum user yeux1122 said in December that Apple could reduce prices on that line following low demand for the iPhone 14 Plus.
At the moment, the official prices of the iPhone 14 line in Europe are:
- iPhone 14: BRL 7,599.00
- iPhone 14 Plus: BRL 8,599.00
- iPhone 14 Pro: BRL 9,499.00
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: BRL 10,499.00
In this way, if the iPhone 15 Pro is more expensive than the 14 Pro, we can say that its price could exceed R$ 10 thousand, while the iPhone 15 Ultra/Pro Max could cost more than R$ 11 thousand.
The new iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Ultra/Pro Max are expected to be announced in September by Apple.
