A Microsoft is implementing the Bing Chat AI to the keyboard SwiftKey at the android this Wednesday (5). With this, users now have access to the search engine chatbot through a shortcut. This measure is already available in the app through the beta version in the Play Store.
The company’s CTO in the area of commerce and Mobile, Pedram Rezaei, confirmed through his Twitter profile that the change is coming, but still slowly, despite being gradual. In that sense, only Google operating system users can take advantage of the novelty for now.
In practice, access to the chatbot can occur in several ways, one of which is a chat button. But, it is also possible to use a mode where the technology itself rewrites the typed sentences. With this, SwitftKey eliminates even the need to install Bing’s own app.
As for the iOS version, there is still no forecast for the arrival of functionality in the keyboard application for Apple’s operating system. Also, it is worth remembering that it is not updated very often and last year it was briefly discontinued, but reappeared in the App Store shortly afterwards.
Even so, Microsoft should not miss the opportunity to implement this function for Apple devices, since some competitors in the category are doing something similar by applying integration with ChatGPT in their respective products.
