Microsoft announced on Wednesday (4) the arrival of the search engine Bing GPT-4 marking the “next wave of innovation in AI” among the search engine with the Edge browser. This version benefits from the improvements introduced by OpenAI in the GPT-4 platform making it more reliable and complete meeting different user demands.

According to big tech, the newly added features should considerably improve the chat experience by making communication clearer, more efficient and without factual errors. Since its launch, Bing AI has registered more than 100 million daily actives, corresponding to a 4x increase compared to the first few weeks.

On its official blog, Microsoft reveals that New Bing is more visual, supporting tables, graphics through Image Creator (compatible with more than 100 languages) and a new formatting model for chat responses with personalized history. This update also adds the ability for users to export the conversation to productivity applications such as Word.

Another interesting novelty announced by the company is the possibility of using plugins to perform specific actions, such as booking a restaurant when performing a search, for example. “We’re excited to continue to make Bing more accessible through its introduction to the Windows taskbar, reaching more than half a billion customers every month.”

Bing GPT-4 is more secure and streamlined than previous models. It incorporates more human feedback, including feedback submitted by ChatGPT users, to improve the behavior of Bing GPT-4.

It is also regularly updated and improved based on real world usage. Bing Chat with GPT-4 is available to all users who sign up for the new Bing preview.
