Microsoft launches dynamic theme for Windows 11 in new optional update

Microsoft released this week the optional update KB5020044 for Windows 11 22H2 with bug fixes and news for system users, such as the new dynamic theme called “Windows Highlights” in the personalization section, in addition to the display of details about the status from the OneDrive account, cloud storage service.

Like the other themes in the system, the new option also displays a carousel of images that change daily according to the developer’s editor’s selection. However, this time the company brought the possibility for users to customize some features such as the color palette and icons.

In parallel to this, Windows 11 22H2 also received new functions in OneDrive showing the total storage capacity available in the account. If the capacity is close to the limit, the system displays an alert warning in the ‘Accounts’ area about the proximity of scarcity in the cloud space.

Reportedly, the update also comes to fix a serious issue related to the performance debug features of the computer’s video card (GPU). According to user reports, this bug in the system caused a reduction in performance during games, something that no longer happens from this version on.
