Microsoft Designer is a tool for creating graphic content ideal for entrepreneurs who do not have experience with more advanced software, such as Adobe Photoshop. The company announced on Thursday (27th) that it is expanding the capabilities of the templates with new functions based on artificial intelligence.

The tool will become integrated into the Microsoft Edge sidebar, allowing users to create and publish content optimized for different platforms — such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest — without leaving the page. Just start a publication on the social network and click on the application icon for an image to be created. Check out:

In addition to images, Designer will also be able to generate text with artificial intelligence. Users can enter a desired content type with a short description in the prompt box. Then, the application will include related phrases in the generated image and will try to create a caption with hashtags so that the content is published on social networks.

In the demo below, you can see that there are several predefined subjects — such as “raise awareness”, “increase sales” and “get more engagement” — that help shape the generated caption and hashtags based on context.

Microsoft has made resizing images easier. Now you can choose from 20 different layouts optimized for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. The text and images present in a project are automatically organized when changing the size and proportion of the material that will be published.

Finally, there are new animations and transitions that promise to make projects more aesthetically pleasing for the public. Microsoft claims that this feature is also equipped with artificial intelligence to streamline the creation process.

According to the company’s statement, other editing functions should be released soon to Microsoft Designer users – all optimized with artificial intelligence, including an “Eraser” tool to remove unwanted parts of an image.
