The recently announced compilation Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 will also include classic games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.
When the collection was announced last Wednesday (24), Konami said it would include three games from the Metal Gear Solid series, but told fans to wait for more information about the titles in the collection.
According to the PlayStation Store listing released by Eurogamer, the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection will also include Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. As a result, the complete collection package will offer:
- metal gear
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- metal gear solid (including VR Missions/Special Missions)
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version)
- Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version)
In the description of the product listing, it is mentioned that the collection includes the classic versions of the games with some editions due to copyrighted content, without giving further details.

Along with the announcement of the collection, Konami also officially announced the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
