Met Eireann forecasts week long scorcher for Dublin with glorious sunshine

Met Eireann has issued a fabulous forecast with glorious sunshine and sweltering temperatures for Dublin.

The national forecaster said high pressure will continue to build with the mercury reaching as high as the mid-twenties towards the end of the week. It will be largely dry this morning with plenty of cloud, some sunny spells and isolated showers.

But longer spells of sunshine are set to take over with temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees. Tonight will be clear at first but will become cloudier with a patch of drizzle possible and temperatures will stay at 10 or 11 degrees.

Tomorrow will start off cloudy with patchy light rain or drizzle. There may be some sunny spells with temperatures of as high as 20 degrees.

While there is no further forecast for Dublin, here is what the national outlook says:

Tuesday night
A Met Eireann forecaster said: “Cloudy, mild and humid with light outbreaks of rain extending from the northwest mainly over Connacht and Ulster and staying largely dry elsewhere. Temperatures won’t fall below the low to mid-teens with light to moderate westerly breezes

Wednesday
“Mostly cloudy with scattered patches of rain and drizzle in the north and west with more isolated patches elsewhere with just a few sunny breaks. Highest temperatures of ranging from 16 degrees in the northwest to 21 or 22 degrees in the southeast, in moderate westerly winds.
