Met Eireann has issued a fabulous forecast with glorious sunshine and sweltering temperatures for Dublin.

The national forecaster said high pressure will continue to build with the mercury reaching as high as the mid-twenties towards the end of the week. It will be largely dry this morning with plenty of cloud, some sunny spells and isolated showers.

But longer spells of sunshine are set to take over with temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees. Tonight will be clear at first but will become cloudier with a patch of drizzle possible and temperatures will stay at 10 or 11 degrees.
