Mark Zuckerberg on Donald Trump: 'Facebook will not control what he writes'

The issue of fact checking at Donald Trump’s tweet has become an international case, as well as a state affair in the US. Fox News has in fact interviewed the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, who sided in favor of the President of the United States.

Zuckerberg, who recently became the third richest man in the world, explained that its platform has “a policy different from that of Twitter”. Arguing for the phrase, Mr. Facebook noted that “I firmly believe that Facebook should not be the arbiter of the truth of everything people say online “.

The Facebook CEO has though taken the defense of Twitter and regarding the possible closure of social networks, which Trump himself mentioned yesterday, noted that “we must first understand what it intends to do. In general, however, it does not seem to me a just reaction from the government, a platform because we are concerned about censorship“.

Meanwhile, others have arrived in the night clarification from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who explained that “we will continue to report incorrect or misleading information globally. This will not make us an arbiter of truth. Our intention is to connect the points of the conflicting statements and show the information from all points of view, so that people can judge independently. We want to be transparent so that people can clearly see what we do“.

In the meantime, however, Donald Trump today could sign an executive order that will give more responsibility to Twitter, Google and Facebook, and which is already at the center of some criticisms.
