A new observation about the MacBook Pro M1X could be seen in the video uploaded by Apple about the main event of WWDC 2021. It is the long-awaited and rumored Apple laptop that was not launched on Monday, but maybe it was contemplated to see the light in this event. What would happen?
Apple already has a new chip, the MacBook Pro M1X is very close
After each Apple release, be it at the software or hardware level, there is metadata and lines of code that can give hints about what is to come. We are not wrong in days past when we affirm that those of Cupertino already had everything ready to launch a second generation of Apple Silicon.
In the keyword tags of the WWDC 2021 video you can see the terms “m1x” and “M1X MacBook Pro”. It was discovered by the user of Twitter Max Balzer, reiterated by 9to5Mac and corroborated in the following capture by iOSMac.
Rumors indicate that Apple will release two new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. They will carry 8 high-performance cores and 2 high-energy-efficient cores. As a novelty, HDMI ports and SD card reader will be added. A major redesign is expected that will bring a mini-LED display similar to that of the last iPad Pro.
The M1X chip will be high-end
Considering previous Apple Silicon rumors, the M1X chip is considered to be a better performing processor. It will have up to 32 GPU cores and will support neither more nor less than up to 64GB of RAM.
One reason the new MacBook Pro is not being released is due to the global chip shortage itself. Both supply chains and leakers claim that Apple’s new laptops will see the light of day sometime in the second half of 2021.
