Love Island: Rumours grow Dublin influencer Saffron Thompson joining villa after Instagram picture at The Fountains Hotel

Rumours that Dublin influencer Saffron Thompson could be set to join the Love Island villa have intensified following her latest Instagram post.

The 20-year-old from East Wall created a media frenzy over the weekend when several publications reported that she could possibly become the first Irish contestant of the show which is being held in South Africa.

And one eagle eyed follower of the young Dublin makeup artist – who also runs the page saffytmakeup_ –  told Dublin Live that her latest post is adding fuel to that fire.

He said: “There’s a sign in the background that says: ‘Please attend to your belongings. The Fountains hotel will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings’.

“When you type the name of that hotel into Google, ‘Best Western Fountains Hotel Cape Town’ automatically comes up.

“I know she has not been confirmed by ITV as a contender on the show but the photo proves there’s a possibility it could happen.”

Saffron has acquired 32 thousand followers on Instagram and was teasing her followers this week posting pictures of her at the airport with one person even saying “enjoy South Africa and the villa”.

The Dublin influencer’s post on the social media platform a couple of days ago shows her posing with two suitcases in London’s Heathrow Airport.

She captioned the post, “This year [is] about vacation, flight catching, train taking #Grateful”.

Her friends and followers flocked to her comment section with her sister Paris writing, “Best of luck sissy gonna miss yah”.

One friend wrote: “Good luck pal, you’re going to kill it”.
