Who says that only mobile phones can have folding screens? At least that’s how the South Korean giant considers it after announce a peculiar laptop called LG Gram Fold. It is a proposal that for the moment will only go on sale in its country of origin but many are already awaiting its arrival in the West (or at least until they hear its price).

LG Garam Fold It is an original option within what are considered light laptops in the brand’s catalog and everything is based on a screen capable of folding in half to be used as a tablet or conventional computer. Up with 13th generation Intel Core i5 processor, up to 16 GB of RAM and Windows 11 for an experience without limitations.

Basically the idea of ​​LG Gram Fold is that when fully deployed it offers you up to 17 inches in size for maximum multimedia viewing, including a OLED type panel with native resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixelsHDR500, full DCI-P3 coverage and in-house True Black technology to render deep blacks.

Then, when folded you will be left with a laptop format in which you will have 12 inches to see its screen, while the rest of the surface will take the form of a touch keyboard (or as the image shows you can opt for a wireless physical keyboard). According to the brand, tests of up to 30 thousand folds have been passed to ensure long durability.

Internally there are the typical components of current generation computers, be it a Intel Core 1335U processor, 16 GB of 6000 MHz LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of internal storage in SSD format. Its battery is distributed in three cells with a capacity of 71 Wh, and there is no Windows 11 operating system already installed.

Finally, its specifications include built-in speakers with support for Dolby Atmos audio, Full HD quality webcam, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, and a total of two side ports, one USB Type-C with support for Thunderbolt 4 and the remaining USB-C 3.2.

This innovative technology will not be cheap at all (something that is already seen on mobile phones like the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5) and the first Korean buyers who get the LG Gram Fold from this week will have to pay around 3700 dollars at the current exchange rate.
