At the end of last year, around the month of November, YouTube announced the arrival of a new function that looked very good: Direct sharing. But to date there was something that was not officially available to the creators, and it was a problem. We refer to the availability of this option in both iOS and Android applications. And this is what just changed. From now on, those who meet the conditions to be able to use the functionality we are talking about can take advantage of it from YouTube’s mobile clients. In this way, the use from anywhere of the invitations to broadcast live to other creators is a possibility that, surely, more than one will take advantage of. And what are the requirements that must be met? Well, the main creator who invites the rest has at least 50 followers. This is not something that is particularly complicated, which is why we are talking about an option that can be considered universal on the streaming video platform. Some important details of this YouTube function Among what should be known about Direct Sharing, it is possible to have another creator broadcast at the same time, but only one. If you want to give input to others, you have to disconnect the second and, then, you can see a different one live. In this case, the restriction of 50 followers does not have to be met, so it is an excellent possibility for those who are beginning their adventure as content creators on YouTube. The truth is that it is a functionality that I could give a lot of play. By the way, it is important to note that, at this time, it is not possible to use the feature on the desktop client for computers, but hopefully the company will start the integration sooner rather than later. Curiously, it is possible to program the start of the broadcast in this way, but to be able to send a live image, you have to use the iOS or Android applications… yes or yes. The way to do this is very simple: the Create button is used in the usual way and then the Direct Share section is clearly visible in the pop-up menu. There’s no way to get lost. Competing with Twitch is the objective This function is clearly aimed at standing up to Guest Star, an option -still in the final test phase- that allows those who broadcast on the Amazon platform to invite up to five creators to broadcast at the same time. So if YouTube wants to have any real options here, they need to improve this feature quite a bit, especially in the number of what they can stream at once. >
