Apple will present in a few months a new generation of iPhone. Improvements to smartphone specs will likely come with a price increase for all models this year.
It’s been several months now since several reports indicated that Apple was going to increase the prices of its iPhone 14s compared to the current generation, and these price increases have again been corroborated by leaker @TheGalox_. According to him, the iPhone 14 could suffer a general increase in prices of 100 dollars on all models.
The iPhone 14 could then start at $799compared to 699 dollars for the iPhone 13 of 2021. For its part, the iPhone 14 Max, the new model with a 6.7-inch screen, could be positioned at $899. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max would both cross the $1,000 mark, with respective prices of 1099 dollars and 1199 dollars.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max could reach a record price in its 1 TB version
Since the release of the iPhone 13 Pro Max last year, Apple has offered a version of its highest-end smartphone with 1TB of storage. It is currently marketed at a stratospheric price of 1599 dollars, or 1839 euros in Francewhile the previous iPhone 12 Pro Max cost “only” up to 1609 euros in its version with 512 GB of storage.
This year, the version with 1TB of storage should also undergo a significant increase in price, and could therefore well reach 2000 euros for the first time. As a reminder, it is likely that an increase in prices in the USA will lead to a greater increase in prices in euros. This could be more brutal than in previous years, in particular because of the rise of the dollar against the euro.
For those who need an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 1TB of storage, but can’t afford to spend nearly $2,000 in a single payment, Apple is also expected to introduce a subscription that will allow you to use an iPhone without ever having to invest a large sum of money. At its launch, the system should only be available in the United States, but it is expected to come to an end in France.
