The iPhone 14 Pro is surely one of the best smartphones to date, but Apple’s new high-end device has also been riddled with rather annoying bugs since its launch. It now seems that the iPhone restarts itself while charging.
After shipping delays and activation burgs, early iPhone 14 Pro users were quick to report that the smartphone’s new 48MP camera sensor was going crazy on third-party apps like Instagram. Apple quickly corrected the situation with its iOS 16.0.2 update, but other bugs have since tainted the user experience.
Indeed, after the camera, it is the microphone that has made its own by degrading the quality of audio calls through CarPlay. As if that were not enough, other Internet users have now reported on social networks to unexpected restarts when the smartphone is charging.
iPhone 14 Pro restarts on its own
According to several testimonials, some users are facing battery related issues on the Pro and Pro Max variants. It looks like the iPhone 14 Pro intermittently restarts when users recharge it via wired or wireless connections. As of now, there appears to be no fix for this annoying bug, yet it seems to be affecting a number of exasperated customers.
Some users report that Apple Support suggested fully restoring the device from a backup in DFU or Recovery Mode, disabling Optimized Charging, and uninstalling the Eufy app, but nothing seems to have worked. However, other users indicate that disabling background app refresh fixes the issue. If you are facing the same problem, so for now we advise you to use this solution.
To do this, all you have to do is go to Settings, go through the General tab, scroll down and select Background app refresh option. It is hoped that Apple will soon officially acknowledge the existence of the bug and deploy a patch that will resolve the problem. The numerous bugs have complicated the launch of the new iPhone 14 series for Apple, which has already been forced to cut production due to lower than expected demand.
