Waze is one of the most used applications by drivers in Europe and now a new function promises to please those who are at the forefront and have an electric car. According to Canaltech, the application is now able to indicate recharge points for these vehicles.
Waze’s new feature lets you select which type of charging is compatible with your electric car including details such as car type, battery and more, thus preventing you from “missing the trip” when driving to an incompatible charger.
To activate the novelty, just update Waze through your cell phone’s app store and enter the following menu:
- My Waze;
- Settings;
- Vehicle details;
- Vehicle type: electric.
According to Waze, the novelty was only possible thanks to the community of Waze map editors, which signaled several charging locations available throughout Europe. App users will still be able to give feedback indicating where new electroposts are available to help other Waze users who also use the feature.
Finally, Waze warns that some charging locations are private, that is, you have to pay a parking fee to access them, so it is always important to keep an eye on where the electroposts are positioned to avoid unforeseen additional costs.
