Samsung brings constant evolutions to its mid-range “A” cell phones, such as support for the fastest mobile network with the Galaxy A14 5G and the advantageous 120 Hz screen on the Galaxy A34, but one of the biggest highlights of the new generation is the Galaxy A54, which now has an X-axis linear vibration motor.
As announced last week by AAC Technologies, a company specializing in acoustic and haptic solutions, Samsung has used its X-axis linear vibration engine in the Galaxy A54. This type of engine is similar to the component used in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23, the brand’s most advanced cell phones.
the component allows the intermediary cell to provide haptic response. This technology makes the user feel like touching physical buttons and sliders when interacting with operating system elements. This is the first time that a mid-range model from the brand has offered immersive technology.
When combined with the software’s sound effects, precise vibration frequencies can ensure a much more immersive gaming experience, in addition to benefiting seniors and other user profiles with one of the best tactile experiences on the market.
In everyday usage scenarios — such as typing, setting the alarm clock, taking pictures with the camera and accessing pop-up menus — the new phone has a stronger, more delicate and more realistic vibration experience than the previous generation.
Interestingly, Samsung made no explicit mention of using the linear vibration motor during the Galaxy A54 presentation event. It is possible that the South Korean giant is still working in the software area to extract the maximum potential from the X-axis vibration engine that, for the first time, comes to an intermediate cell phone of the brand.
This is not the only novelty that makes the Galaxy A54 a more “premium” cell phone than the Galaxy A53. The model now has a new design with a glass rear protected by Corning technology, ensuring good resistance and a refined finish, in addition to being more visually similar to the top of the line of the year.
