What you see just below is the alleged schematic drawing of Huawei P60 Pro, which seems to confirm the adoption of a version of the iPhone’s Dynamic Island for the front camera. When Apple introduced it last fall, with the iPhone 14 Pro and its Max variant, it was expected that some Android manufacturers would implement it; In fact, Huawei won’t even be the first – this honor goes to Realme with its C55.

To be clear, the schematic doesn’t actually show the software part of the feature, just the hardware one, namely: a central hole in the shape of a pill which will host at least two “cameras” – a traditional RGB one for taking photos and videos and one with 3D sensors for scanning the face. The pill front module is a solution used quite often by Huawei in the past, and not only in the flagships, but in more recent times it has been seen less. Also, historically the company has preferred to move it to the upper left corner.

The drawing reveals other interesting details about the device, in particular regarding the photographic module, which will be on two levels – the island in general will be in relief but the main camera will protrude even more. There doesn’t appear to be a port for the 3.5mm jack, while the overall height of the device is noted to be 176.55mm, the width 74mm and the thickness (excluding camera) 7.6 mm. The camera module, on the other hand, will be 58.35 mm high, but it is the only specified size – by eye it seems that in correspondence with the main unit, the overall thickness will almost double, but we will see the official data.
