It’s time to stay well-informed about everything that happened in the last few days in another edition of Plantão TC, our weekly “newspaper” where we separate the best news of the week so that you can stay on top of everything in one place.
In this week’s edition we will highlight the launch of the Huawei P60 line and also the Mate X3. In addition, we also have the presentation of the new HoloLens here in Europe and also the Find X6 family abroad.
Other important highlights include rumors about the new hinge of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, while the iPhone 15 Pro may lose the silent mode switch.
OPPO finally presented the Find X6 line with two smartphones. In general terms, they share the same design, but the Chinese manufacturer has made some adjustments, since the camera module is now round and centralized.
As for the standard Find X6 specs, this model has a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen with 120 Hz rate, Dimensity 9200 processor, 50 MP main camera and 4,800 mAh battery with 80W charging.
The price of this device starts at something close to R$ 3,420 in the option with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
On the other hand, the Find X6 Pro has a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a rate of 120 Hz and Quad HD + resolution, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, main camera with a 1-inch sensor, 5,000 mAh battery with 100W charging and Android 13 native.
Its price starts at R$ 4,560, and the most basic variant also has 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of memory. For now, there is no forecast for the launch of smartphones outside of China, nor here in Europe.
Apparently, Netflix was right to launch a more affordable ad-supported plan, as the number of users has been growing rapidly.
According to more recent data released by Bloomberg, about 1 million accounts are already enrolled in the plan in the United States alone. A curious detail is that these users are really new.
That is, we are not talking about people who migrated from more expensive Netflix plans. This is also something that can be celebrated by the company, as it has won over people who simply did not subscribe to the service.
Finally, despite the growth, users of the ad-supported plan represent a small portion of Netflix’s US subscriber base of 74 million. But of course, that number should grow when the platform starts blocking password sharing.
New leaks released this week indicate that Apple should replace the iPhone 15 Pro line’s silent mode switch with just a simple button.
Some renders were shared showing what the final result should look like, with the volume buttons giving way to a capacitive solution.
Another interesting detail is that the camera module continues to be skipped in this version, which can be justified by the addition of a telephoto sensor with 5 or even 10 times optical zoom.
On the other hand, the iPhone 15 and its brother Plus should keep the traditional buttons and the silent mode switch. As we know, this is part of Apple’s new strategy of only making the news available on the most expensive models.
Microsoft presented the new HoloLens 2 and HoloLens Industrial Edition to the Europeian market. The devices share the same design and construction, but some features are adjusted for the industrial version’s market proposition.
In any case, the technology can be exploited by both ordinary users and companies in different industry segments, such as manufacturing, engineering, healthcare and education. The ergonomic shape and high-quality materials allow the glasses to be worn for a long time without discomfort.
According to the company from Redmond, the suggested prices already include taxes and the final value must follow the daily dollar exchange rate, being necessary to consult the distributors.
The HoloLens 2 costs US$ 7,300, that is, almost R$ 41 thousand. The industrial version starts at US$ 10,000, something around R$ 57,000.
After launching the new POCO X5 and X5 Pro here in Europe, the Chinese manufacturer is already preparing to announce the POCO F5 in the global market.
According to leaks revealed this week, the POCO F5 will be launched in the Indian market on April 6th. In addition, its price should be 28 thousand rupees, something around R$ 1,800 in direct conversion.
As for the specifications of the new smartphone, it must be remembered that it should be announced with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen that has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and QHD + resolution.
The expected processor is the brand new Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, and it can work with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
The set of cameras will consist of a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro sensor. For selfies, there is 16 MP inside a small hole in the display.
Finally, the POCO F5 should have a 5,000 mAh battery that has 67W fast charging.
According to the well-known and reliable Ice Universe, the future Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 should receive a new hinge this year.
The leaker adds that Samsung has opted for an innovative solution that will reduce the visibility of the crease in the center of the device. This transition will make the Fold 5 thinner, and the two sides of the fold should close like a book, leaving no space between them.
As for the Flip 5, the leaker indicates that the device’s external screen is almost square and is 3.4 inches, taking up most of the area. The internal screen of the Flip 5 will be narrower.
Finally, among other novelties of the new generation, Ice Universe also points out that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have a new touchscreen technology, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, ISOCELL GN3 main camera sensor and IPX8 water resistance.
In an event held at dawn this Thursday, Huawei finally presented the new P60, P60 Pro, P60 Art and Mate X3 foldable.

What changes from the P60 to the Pro version is that the second adds a 48 MP telephoto lens and the Art also gains a 40 MP ultrawide lens. That’s because the Ultrawide of the P60 and P60 Pro has 13 MP and the telephoto of the standard model is 12 MP.
