HUAWEI Mate X3 arrives, the lightest and thinnest folding mobile of the moment

In addition to the new Huawei P60 Pro, as well as the new Watch 4 series of smartwatches and the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro laptop, Huawei has also unveiled its new flagship foldable phone, declaring it the thinnest large-screen foldable ever. and lightweight in the world, also congratulating itself on being the first foldable smartphone to obtain two TÜV Rheinland certifications (Colour Accuracy and Color Accuracy Projection).

About the hinge, the company points out that it has used an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy with the qualities of being ultra-light and ultra-thin, combined with a wing-shaped double-track rotating axis for precise and effortless movement.


How did you manage to make it lighter?

It also points out that it has reconstructed the entire structure of the device adopting an advanced topological structure design as well as the use of innovative materials of its own development, giving rise to a lighter and thinner device, at the same time resistant, giving the device the classification IPX8 for water resistance.

It has a 6.4-inch 3D OLED exterior screen, with a resolution of 2,504 x 1,080p, protected by Kunlun Glass, which gives it 10 times more resistance to falls, while it has a 7-inch foldable LTPO OLED interior screen. 85 inches, with a resolution of 2,496 x 2,224 px, both with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Other features

The company has equipped this model with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4G as a processor, 12GB of RAM, 512 GB of internal storage.

At the photographic level, it also adopts Ultra Vision XMAGE technology to improve the quality of the photographs, even in low light conditions, with a layout of the rear cameras inspired by the portholes of space stations, whose module is made in custom diamond blade, housing the 50 MP Ultra Vision main camera, 13 MP ultra-wide angle camera, and the 12MP sensor periscope telephoto camera, with a maximum 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom.

Huawei says that both the main camera and the telephoto camera of the HUAWEI Mate X3 come with a RYYB sensor, which enables up to 40% more light to be gathered to produce vivid images, even in dimly lit environments.


The front camera, arranged in the upper right corner of the internal screen through a hole, has an 8MP sensor.

The company highlights the new texture engine of the XD Fusion Pro, to accurately reproduce the details of objects through AI, in addition to the point blur algorithm to obtain shots with a blurred background similar to those of a DSLR camera.

In terms of autonomy, it comes with a 4,800 mAh battery compatible with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge fast wired charging, 50W HUAWEI SuperCharge wireless fast charging, and 7.5W reverse fast charging.

Huawei also highlights the integration of the cross-hinge graphene cooling system for greater heat dissipation.


Users can choose between the Black and Dark Green color options when making their purchases, with a recommended price of 2199 euros with the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 watch in white or black as a gift.
