Instagram has added a new feature called Notes that allows you to share a short message with a group of contacts and is already available for some users and will roll out to everyone in the coming weeks.
Notes are ephemeral, they last only 24 hours and can be deleted if a new one is sent to the same group of close friends
With a limitation of 60 characters and a maximum duration of 24 hours before disappearing, this new feature allows you to share brief ads, both in length and in the time they remain visible, with friends. The new tool is halfway between instant messaging and microblogging and is displayed in the Stories area.
The Notes are shared among the group of “best friends” so it is not possible to send them individually, unless only one Instagram user has been marked as a “close friend”.
To read the Notes you have to access the direct message inbox. When one of our contacts has published one that we can read, it appears an icon of small bubbles about your avatar. Clicking on the icon accesses the Note, which can be answered using the keyboard that appears on the screen, after which a new chat will be generated.
A curious thing is that the contacts they will not receive the notice of the publicationso they should be attentive to the bubbles that appear on the string of Stories icons, or access the inbox of their direct messages with some frequency to check if they have any new shared Note, since they disappear after 24 hours of your publication.
Also in case another note is sent to the same group of friends will delete the previouseven if 24 hours have not passed.
How to send a Note through Instagram
To send new Notes, you must access the icon with the “+” symbol located next to the user’s own avatar and a window will appear where you can type a Note (with the aforementioned maximum limit of 60 characters). Under the text you can select the contacts with whom you are going to share the publication with two options:
-Everybody the followers.
-Single with followers designated as “close friends”.
The notes can be deleted before 24 hours have passedin case the emissary regrets his publication.
