The iPhone, through the Siri assistant, have a native method to notify the user when the phone has reached a certain charge level. Android devices, however, lack such a thing. Therefore, if you want your Android mobile to notify you when the load reaches a certain percentage, you must use external apps to do so.

The free Automate app allows Android phones to have a tool to generate notifications when the battery level reaches a certain percentage

This method, however, has certain disadvantages compared to that of iOS. And it is that, in addition to having to download an app, it will only show the charging notification if the phone is unlocked. Anyway, it can be a useful tool to keep an eye on when the mobile is charged to 80 or 100%. Anyway, it is important to take into account a series of tricks to extend the life of the batteries.

-Download Automate: In Google Play you will find an app called Automate. This app is used to introduce routines and automatisms in the operation of your mobile phone. With Automate you can, for example, schedule messages or calls to be sent at specific times; connect or disconnect to a network or download and upload files to a platform. It is a complex application, with many options and available only in English.

-First block: From the main menu of the app, you will see a box with the “+” symbol appear. Pressing on this icon is how the phone’s automatisms and routines begin to be generated.

This icon will redirect you to a new screen where you will read a sign that says “Flow Beginning”. Enter that section and then press the “+” again, so that the first part of the block will already be created.

– «Battery & power»: After clicking the “+” icon, a menu with several categories will be displayed on one side. The one that interests us now is the one that says “Battery & power” and, when you click on it, a series of options will appear from which you must select “Battery level”.

At that point, Automate will automatically place the first conditioner of the routine you want to install: “When battery level”. That is, when the battery level reaches the percentage X, the phone does Y. Then, click on that box and you will begin to configure the warning.

-Select a load percentage: Now is when you can configure and choose in what percentage of load you want to receive the notification. It can be 80% or 100% and, when selecting one of the two, click on “Save”.

In doing so, the app takes you to a new screen with two different blocks. One says “Flow beginning”, with a circle that says “Go”, and just below “When battery level”. Join both blocks with a line so that the first action is linked to the next one and an automation is generated.

-Activate notification: In order for the phone to notify you when this charge level is reached, you must press “+” again. In the menu select the “Speak” tab, within the “Camera & sound” section.

Here you have to configure the message you want to receive when the desired battery level is reached, as well as the language in which it will be notified. Press “Save” after making the pertinent modifications.

– “Start”: Once again you will be on the main screen, where the different automation blocks appear. Now you must join the “When battery level” piece and the “Speak” piece with a line. Then click on the back arrow, located at the top left, and at the end on “Start”.
