TikTok now lets you add to posts animated GIF files with sound, from the GIPHY platform, one of the references in animated GIFs, and which was acquired by Facebook in 2020.

GIPHY’s animated GIFs include content from various television and streaming platforms

The content that can be found in this new TikTok library, called GIPHY Clips, comes from television networks or streaming platforms like ABC, HBO, Hulu, The Roku Channel or Xbox. This facilitates the viralization of known or already popular content.

This new library will progressively reach TikTok users over the next few weeks, allowing them to add content to their posts. The first users who will be able to access animated GIFs with sound will be those who access through the Android ecosystem, later reaching users of the iOS operating system.

How to integrate animated GIFs with audio on TikTok

In order to integrate these animated GIFs with sound, follow these steps:

-To access to TikTok

-To go to the recording screen.

-Press on the new icon (Library) that identifies the new content.

-To select the content that appears as a trend or search for something specific through the included search bar.

-Choose the duration that you want the appearance of the animated GIF with sound to have.

-To return to the camera screen to start video recording.

The final result will be the incorporation in the recording of the animated GIF which, by having its own audio, will allow enrich the video content that the user will broadcast through their TikTok account.
