TikTok has just launched the possibility for users create your own avatars on the social network. With their avatar, TikTok users will be able to have a digital representation of themselves in the application and star in videos and photos with them.

TikTok avatars are now available for the more than 1,000 million users of the social network

The social network of Chinese origin thus becomes the last social network to launch its own avatars, after for example Facebook already had them and also Instagram. In fact, they are also similar to Bitmoji, Snapchat avatars.

Creating an avatar on TikTok is extremely simple. All you have to do is follow the steps below:

Steps to create your avatar on TikTok

First of all, access the TikTok application and open the TikTok camera (the one included within the app, not the mobile camera) and navigate to the effects section and click on «TikTok Avatars».

From there, you’ll see a panel with various avatar templates. You can choose any of the templates or click directly on «New» to create your personalized avatar. Moving with the left and right arrows you can select the type of hair, accessories, piercings, makeup… for your avatar, until you leave it ready in your image and likeness (or make it look like whoever you want).

The avatars are inclusive and allow you to also select all skin types, hair types and colors, as well as textures. But in addition, the avatars can also have their own style of voice and way of speaking into the microphone. You can select the one that best suits you.

Once you’re happy with how your avatar turned out, you can start creating videos. Your avatar will imitate your gestures and movements and will be the protagonist of your new content on TikTok.

In addition, you can also choose a thumbnail of your avatar in your videos and include it in them, selecting its size and placing it anywhere on the screen.

At the moment the avatars are already available to the more than 1,000 million TikTok users around the world, although the thumbnails will still take a few weeks to be available to all of them.
