After making the first episode of “Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon” available on YouTube, HBO has now released the trailer for the 8th episode of the series to further instigate the curiosity of those who are following the story of the Iron Throne. In the video, we have the suggestion of several changes and the increasing proximity of the Dance of Dragons arc.
A Dance with Dragons is one of the most awaited arcs for those who follow the works of George RR Martin. In it, we have the struggle between the Greens and Reds for the succession to the Iron Throne.
The trailer begins with Otto Hightower speaking on behalf of King Viserys, who is not shown, so it is possible that his illness has advanced and he is debilitated or elsewhere in the kingdom.
Rhaenys looks worried as she says:
Tomorrow, the Hightowers take their first hit. These vipers rule in my father’s name.
This could suggest that the conflict is getting closer and closer, which is also indicated by the end of the first season of the series. Aegon and Alicent appear to be satisfied, while Rhaenyra Targaryen worries about the situation.
It is also revealed that Sir Corlys Velaryon was injured in the Battle of Stepstones, but it is not said if the injuries are fatal. Either way, Vaemond is happier than ever to be heir to the throne.
