Honor will soon announce in the Chinese market a new mid-range device with 5G connectivity, the Honor Play 7T.
It will hit the market as the successor to the Play 6T and Honor has released promotional materials bringing some specifications and its design.
The poster reveals that the Honor Play 7T will come with a waterdrop notch and the display should be IPS LCD. The bottom has a headphone jack, microphone, USB-C port and speaker. Despite not appearing in the photo, the side appears to have a fingerprint reader.
According to Honor, the Play 7T will come with a 6.74-inch screen and, like its predecessor, it should have HD+ resolution and support for a 90 Hz refresh rate. The cell phone should bring 8 GB of RAM and internal storage of 128 GB or 256 GB.
For power, it might come with a 6,000mAh battery unit, but the charging speed has not been revealed. As for the operating system, it should bring Android 13 under the Magic OS 7.1 interface.
Under the hood, the Honor Play 7T may come with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6020 chipset, which offers similar performance to the Dimensity 700. Rumors claim that this device will be a slightly modified version of the Honor Play 40 Plus, which hit the market in October 2022.
As a reminder, the Honor Play 40 Plus has a 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels), 90 Hz refresh rate, 20:9 screen ratio and a drop-shaped notch to house the 5 megapixel front sensor. At the rear, there is a dual module with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
