Long message of reflections from the CEO of Honor on Weibo. The protagonist is the imminent Magic V2, the folding from Honor which will be presented in a week in China. George Zhao uploaded the environment ahead of the launch, once again describing the company’s approach to a a project defined as revolutionary on several occasions on which, evidently, Honor places great expectations.

Also because the goal put on paper by Zhao in his excursus is more ambitious than ever: break Apple’s dominance as soon as possible, “it won’t be long before Apple’s dominance is broken” read in translation from Chinese. Questioning the role of a company with a capitalization of more than 3 trillion dollars is not the same as saying it, but that’s it: the goal of the top management is that, and to understand how Magic V2 intends to revolutionize the foldable experience there is a wait July 12 presentation.

The key does not seem to be hardware, because taking the indications coming from the rumors for granted, despite the fact that a high-level picture emerges, Magic V2 does not seem to have anything more than the best competition, Samsung in the lead who will present the new generation of Galaxy Z a couple of weeks later in Seoul. The design may be the crux, Zhao attached the below picture to the post where Magic V2 is combined with revolutionary projects: on the left one of the first mobile phones, in the center an iPhone (it looks like an iPhone 4/4s), lastly the upcoming brochure. The underlying message is very clear.

Before Samsung and Magic V2, the time will come for a product that by nature and price will have greater numbers. AND Honor X50, will be official on Wednesday (July 5) at 13:30 Italian. The Chinese mid-range will in all likelihood be based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 platform, which hasn’t been seen very often since the launch last August.

And it’s a pity, because judging by the numbers of the benchmarks that X50 would have run the American SoC made at 4 nanometers in the last few hours promises well. We will have to understand if the novelty will arrive sooner or later in Europe: Honor X40 has arrived, albeit slightly modified and under the name of Magic 5 Lite.

Will Honor X50 follow the same path?
