Poco, Xiaomi’s most peculiar sub-brand, has officially presented its new F5 series of phones, whose models can now be purchased from the official website (mi.com), with interesting discounts for a limited time.
The new F5 series consists of the Poco F5 and the Poco F5 Pro, options with a high quality/price ratio. Those who remember the beginnings of this brand will know very well its strategy, which came to surprise with the mythical POCO F1.
LITTLE F5
Regarding the new Poco F5, it is a premium mid-range that comes with a 6.67″ AMOLED DotDisplay Flow FullHD+ screen, with super-thin bezels, with an impressive 93.4% screen-to-body ratio, refresh rate 120Hz, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 240Hz, 1000 nits peak brightness, 5,000,000:1 ratio/contrast, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and SGS Low certification Blue Light Ex.
Inside it has the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 as a processor, 8 and 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, I mean well, LPDDR5, as well as 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, I mean well, UFS 3.1. The company points out that this model has a function that supports expansion, virtually, up to 19 GB through idle ROM to achieve higher speed.
The photographic section is the same for both models. In this regard, it comes with 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera. The front camera has a 16MP sensor.
This model has a 5,000 mAh battery and support for 67 W fast cable charging. In addition, it comes with 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, infrared, and also comes with a headphone jack and stereo speakers.
The rest of the specifications can be consulted at this link, noting only that it is being offered from 379.99 euros, and the white color option with an ice flake texture is especially striking.
LITTLE F5 Pro
If the Poco F5 is already spectacular in itself, let’s take a look at what changes in the new Poco F5 Pro.
In short, this option opts for the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as a processor, the resolution of its screen goes up to WQHD+, with a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz, and it can also be chosen with 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The battery capacity rises to 5,160mAh keeping the fast cable charging the same, although incorporating 30W wireless fast charging.
In this option we could miss the jack connector, which lacks it as is usually the case in high-end models, but with a price starting at 479.99 euros, allowing you to choose between two color options, black and white, although with a different back texture.
The complete specifications can be consulted at this link.
Both options already come with MIUI14 based on Android 13. It is already a matter of each one choosing the option that suits them best, although without a doubt, Poco has done it again, offering first-class features at a much more affordable price, where perhaps the benefits that other brands offer in their flagships are not missing.
