Here’s what’s new on Meta monetization for creators on Facebook and Instagram

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms, has taken advantage of his Facebook profile to announce, through a succession of comments, the news that will be available to creators so that they can earn more money with their creative work.

Zuckerberg will not only offer more avenues of monetization to creators who already make money on the platform, but will also expand monetization tools to more creators, benefiting creators on Facebook as well as creators on Instagram.

Caring for their creators in the face of fierce competition

First, Meta delays charging creators until 2024 for the use of some paid services such as paid online events, follower subscriptions and more. This allows creators to have more income margin, taking into account that the collection of these services would begin to occur as early as next year.

From Meta they also want bring something like TikTok’s Creator Marketplace to Instagram as a place where creators can be discovered by brands so that they can collaborate in different marketing campaigns.

And finally, Meta is expanding its testing of NFTs on Instagram to more creators around the world, with the announcement that this test will be coming to Facebook soon as well. And where in any case the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains are supported, although support for the Flow and Solana blockchains will also come later.
