heise plays “Dinkum” live from 7 p.m.: New star in the farming sky?
“Minecraft”, “Stardew Valley”, “Animal Crossing”: “Dinkum” should unite everything. Let’s see if that worked. At 7 p.m. we will break ground.
Farming games are a gift for anyone who enjoys playing on the “second screen” – “casual” and “cozy” are the keywords. That’s what helps wind down after a long day. Since Harvest Moon on the Super Nintendo (SNES), this has been a genre of great popularity and is bringing many people into the wide world of gaming.
The farming hit of 2022 could be “Dinkum”. James Bendon, a single developer from Australia, has released Dinkum in Early Access via Steam after over 5 years of development.
As in Down Under
Farming, breeding, fishing, building a village and maybe finding the love of your life. Bendon has immortalized his Australian roots in the game. In particular, the animal inhabitants show many parallels to his native Australia.
In this episode of voonze plays we analyze whether “Dinkum” also brings with it inconsistencies and whether relaxation turns into frustration. voonze video producer Pascal Schewe looks at the beginning of “Dinkum” and rates it together with all viewers at the end on a scale from “relaxation” to “frustration”.
The live stream starts at 7 p.m. and can be viewed via the video embedded above on YouTube or via Twitch.
“Dinkum” is initially only available for Windows PCs on Steam and currently costs around 15 euros. Other platforms are to follow.
Always live
