Android notification history

Anyone who owns an Android mobile will have noticed the large number of notifications they receive daily, just by sliding the bar located at the top of the screen. But, many times, we delete all the notices we have because we are saturated with so much information and that can lead us to discard an important update that we really wanted to read. Luckily, there is a method to recover all deleted notifications.

When we buy a mobile phone, we install numerous applications that in turn send us notifications so that we are aware of what is happening at all times. For example, messaging tools, such as WhatsApp, send us a notification when we receive messages, as does Telegram, or email services such as Gmail and Outlook, when we receive an email. On the other hand, others send us relevant current news, such as Bing, or an alert from our smartphone’s own operating system when a new update is available.

Be that as it may, on some occasion you may have accidentally deleted one of those notifications that you were waiting to receive, in such a way that you no longer know how to recover it. But it is as simple as carrying out a series of quick steps to be able to access your reading again through the notification history.

Enable notification history

Google is one of the most flexible systems that exist, since it offers a huge repertoire of settings and configurations that you can make on Android, one of the best software thanks to its open source. Because of this, we have the opportunity to reconstruct the notifications that we have deleted at the time of receiving them. To take a look at them, you have to do a slide with your finger from the touch part of the upper frame of the screen to the bottom, pulling out a curtain where you can see all the alerts that are coming to us from the applications installed in the mobile memory.

The notification recovery process has several phases, so it can be done in different ways on any version of Android, but Notification history must first be enabled:

  • Access Settings or Setting.
  • Select the option Notifications. On some Android models you may have to click on More settings or Advanced settings.
  • Tap on Notification history and enable the box.

From here, all previous notifications or those that you have deleted from the slider panel will begin to be recorded.

How to access

There are two ways to access notification history. The first is the simplest of all. You just have to slide the notification bar and scroll all the way down until you see the History buttonwhich is usually located at the bottom left of the screen.

You can also check notification history the same way we enable it. To do this, you can go to Settings, either from the nut icon in the notification bar or by sliding your finger from bottom to top in the main menu of your smartphone to launch the application drawer and go to Settings. Then, go to Notifications and finally Notification History.
