In an announcement posted on Twitter, Google Photos confirmed that its web version is now receiving image editing features that were previously limited to the Android and iOS app.

According to the Fotos team, Google One plan subscribers can now apply HDR mode to their photosas well as taking advantage of the Portrait Light, Portrait Blur, Dynamic, Color Pop, and Sky tools.

See in the GIF below the change that each mode can apply to a photo:

Google also highlighted on its blog that the features should be restricted to the public that subscribes to the Google One plan, and it is also necessary to follow some requirements to use the new tools:

  • Have a PC with at least 4 GB of RAM
  • Use Chrome or another browser in its most current version

For now, the news is being released through phases and it may take a while to reach all users here in Europe.

On another front, Google Photos also gained a cleaner interface in its smartphone version, while the company is working on a new photo editor that should use Artificial Intelligence.
