Google announced that Gmail’s new integrated design is now rolling out to all accounts.

Although we have had a preview of this design for months now, it is now officially reaching all users. We tell you the news.

Gmail is already implementing the new integrated view

With this new Gmail design, you won’t see any changes to your inbox, but you’ll have an integrated view that works with other Google services: Chat, Meet, and Spaces. An integrated view that you will find on the left side of Gmail.

Google’s idea is that users can move between applications from the same Gmail interface, without having to switch tabs in the web browser. There are some options that can be customized in this dynamic from the Quick Settings of Gmail.

To do this, you just have to click on the gear that you will find at the top of Gmail and select “Personalize”. This will allow you, for example, to remove some of the apps you don’t use from this built-in view.

Over the next few weeks, users will be able to enable the integrated view using the new visual settings option in Settings, and anyone who wants to keep their current Gmail layout will be able to do so. You get the Gmail that best suits your personal style

So you can keep Gmail simply as an email app, with the same interface you have now, or turn it into a quick access center to easily open the rest of the Google apps mentioned above. A configuration that will depend on the purpose of your account.

On the other hand, the Google team also highlights that search chips now make it even easier for users to find the emails they are looking for based on different criteria. And they also promise that in the coming months they will implement new accessibility features in Gmail, as well as better emojis, among other new features.
