NVIDIA’s next generation of GeForce RTX 4000 “Ada Lovelace” graphics cards could be arriving sooner than expected, as a leaker is now announcing a launch as early as Q3 this year.
According to leaker @kopite7kimi, specialist in Nvidia graphics cards, the company could releasing her new series “Ada Lovelace” early in the third quarter of this yeari.e. July or August 2022. This flies in the face of most previous predictions that the GeForce RTX 4000 series could launch in September at the earliest, although some also mentioned release in July.
A launch in the middle of summer would not be unprecedented. The GeForce RTX 2000 Super line was unveiled on July 2, 2019, while the first RTX 3000 series graphics cards were announced in early September 2020. A release this summer could therefore pull the rug out from under AMDwhich also plans to launch a new series of Navi 31 graphics cards in the fourth quarter.
The GeForce RTX 4000s promise to be twice as powerful as the RTX 3000s
It has been several months now that leaks have been linked concerning the technical characteristics of the next graphics cards from Nvidia. It would seem that the RTX 4090 is for example twice as fast as the RTX 3090 Ti, sinceit would reach 100 TFLOPs.
It is not really surprising to see the performance of the next Nvidia graphics cards soar, since the manufacturer also plans to double the consumption of the Ada Lovelace generation GPUs. It would therefore be necessary to provide a power supply of nearly 1500W if you plan to get the most powerful graphics card of this generation.
Be that as it may, we should soon know more about the GeForce 4000 Ada Lovelace, since the release is fast approaching. According to Nvidia’s usual release schedule, the company would first unveil its new GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards, saving its high-end GeForce RTX 4090 Ti and GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards for later. The American giant could notably wait for AMD to unveil its own cards in order to be able to counterattack.
