The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 received approval from the China Compulsory Certification Agency (3C). The preliminary sheet was published on Monday and confirms that the devices are already being prepared for launch in the second half.

According to the regulatory agency, the Z Fold 5 (SM-F9460) and Z Flip 5 (SM-F7310) must support 25W fast charging. That is, the same as Samsung currently offers on its mid-range and top-of-the-line smartphones.

In addition, as expected, these folding devices also bring native support for the fifth generation connection (5G) and must support Wi-Fi 7.

The other foldable specifications were not published by 3C, as this is not the focus of that regulatory agency. Thus, we will only know more detailed information when they pass through TENAA, which is a body similar to our Anatel.

Anyway, rumors indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 should be announced with a 7.6-inch AMOLED screen that has a rate of 120 Hz and 2K resolution. The external panel can be 6.2 inches and also support 120 Hz rate.

On the other hand, Z Flip 5 should be announced with 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with 3.4-inch external bezel. In both cases, smartphones must use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and guarantee up to 12 GB of RAM with 512 GB of internal storage.

Finally, we will also have a 50 MP main camera on both and native Android 13 running under Samsung’s proprietary interface.
